last christmas i gave you my heart...

but the very next day you gave it away, this year, to save me from tears, i'll give it to someone special, special....oooooh, yeahhhhh, yeahhhhhh.

I heart Wham around the holidays. LOL.

Well this year I gave my heart to no one, as with years before but despite having no "love" in my life, this Christmas was still GREAT! I heart my family and am so glad to be near them. On Christmas Eve we took the grand kids caroling to some of our neighbors and brought them holiday goodies. It was a lot of fun to do. Then we played a game where we past gifts to the left and right when the words "right" and "left" were said in the story of Jesus' birth. After that we discussed the gifts that they passed around, the scriptures, a picture of Jesus, a Nativity scene, and a children's book, "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry. After we discussed the importance of each of those gifts and bearing testimony of the Savior, my father read the children's book. Then we opened Christmas Eve gifts, it was a lot of fun. I just hope that my nieces and nephew made some good memories and that they realized that Christmas isn't just about getting gifts but about praising He who died for us birthday.

All that aside, I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday and may God continue to watch over everyone of us, whom ever you believe in.

Well Christmas is just around the corner and I am not ready. I can't believe it is next week. It seem to have snuck up on me way too quick. I am excited though...should be fun. I tried to give gifts centered on Jesus this year, at least ones to my family are centered around Christ. I can't wait for them to open them...hopefully they will like them. However my gift to me is the cruise so it is not really Christ centered but it is a LDS singles cruise...I know...LOL! Well I believe it is time for bed...peace out to all!

the Mediterranean is calling...

And I'm going!! I'm so pumped, I'm headed to the Mediterranean at the end of April for a 7 day cruise with my friend Gina! Woohoo. Yes, it's an LDS Singles cruise, but WHATEVER, it should be a lot of fun and I'm just stoked to see different parts of Europe! Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Italy...it's gonna be great!! Now all I have to do is get in bathing suit shape...EEEK!!!!!

Moment of Silence

It's not as if a death has occurred but the push back of the release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has definitely put a damper on the remaining 2008 year.  I am not ashamed to admit I am sad and bit on the annoyed side that WB is doing this to me and all Harry Potter fans worldwide...BOO!!!  I was really looking forward to it, since I don't have any more additions to the series to anticipate (aside from that Biddles and whatever book JK is releasing next month).  I mean I already took the day off work to attend the movie, I guess I can cancel that now...what a bummer.  Until July Harry, Hermione, Ron, Longbottom, Dumbledore, Tonks, Lupin, Hagrid, Ginny, Luna, Draco, Lavendar, Seamus, Dean, Fred, George, Mr. Weasley, Mrs. Weasley, Snape, Pettigrew, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (Voldemort), Lucius, Bellatrix, and all those I can't recall at the moment...I look forward to our reunion in July!!!   LOL
