So, I was listening to my new favorite song, "Lucky" by Jason Mraz featuring Colbie Callait. The song is sweet but not disgustingly so, you know. I just love it and their harmonizing is great. They have two distinct sounds that mesh well together. Anyway, as I was listening to this song last night while writing, I thought of this...
inside
Somewhere back there beyond fear
Behind apathy
Right there...beside heart, lies hope.
I watch it as it struggles.
It flickers...
It fades...
Is it dead?
It flickers...
It fades...
Now I know
Now I see
Somewhere back there beyond fear
Behind apathy
Beside heart, lives hope.
See, I hear this song and I think of these words because it gives me hope that one day I will find someone out there that I can share the same sentiments they sing about. "They don't know how long it takes, waitin' for a love like this." Perhaps, there are some out there that don't know but I'm positive when I finally do find that love...I will appreciate it and be in awe of it everyday. Because lets face it, finding someone you want to love for time and all eternity is a miracle...yeah you're definitely lucky in love!

I pushed "ctrl +" a billion times just to read this poem.lol
I love how art feeds other forms of art. Good music is always inspiring and can help our true emotions surface.
Remember this post, especially when you and Mr. Right settle down and have bills, kids and all kinds of disagreements. It'll calm many storms.
Now I'm off to check out that song.
:)
ps: I hate when I make a typo, hence the comment previous deleted.
Crystal is right about remembering this post. The realities of life can make you forget those great feelings of love and having hope, but it is so great to have these art forms to remind us - thanks bytheway.
cool nila! thanks for sharing. it would be hard for me to share my writing if i wrote. too insecure. so i really admire that, besides the fact that it's beautiful art. i've been wondering lately why i was looking forward so well to getting married and starting a family, so this is something i needed to read. thanks
Thanks guys...I'm sure the realities of marriage aren't always as pleasant as we would like them to be, but I'm sure I'll find that out one day...hopefully...pray for me...LOL!
It takes more than just love!
Hey Nila!
It's me, Lia. Your words are moving. It reminds me of the frustrations that Kelda maybe facing as well. Marriage, though wonderful and fulfilling, is hard work. But, it's hard work that's rewarding and allows the couple to draw closer not only to each other, but to the Savior as well, when it's done the right way. Life here in my home isn't always peachy, with now 6 children (7 if you count my hubby), gets pretty crazy and a bit stressful. I sometimes find myself thinking of ways just to be alone with the man I call hun, who helped me to start it all. Anyhow, I found an article through LDS.org by Elder Carmack titled, "To My Single Friends." In my pov, it's a great talk and I hope you can find some hope in the article. You've been blessed with many talents and I know that Heavenly Father created a wonderful someone just for you. Who knows, maybe your future man may still need some growing up to do before he meets you. ;)
naco you are so wise :) It is a lot of work. But at then end of the day when you can remember why you chose him in the first place it really is worth it.
